What the Communications Committee is Working On

This program pairs SEAS underclassmen with upperclassmen with the same major and similar interests/backgrounds. A google form is sent out at the beginning of the school year for mentors to apply, as well as another google form for mentees to apply. Mentors and mentees are paired based on their major and having the most amount of mutual interests.

This calendar provides information about upcoming events for SEAS students. Students can subscribe to the calendar to receive notifications of new events.

This is a bi-weekly newsletter-style video to inform students about upcoming events and opportunities available to SEAS students. The latest SEAS Flash was filmed using Tik Tok but was not published because the advertised events were cancelled as a result of COVID-19.

The Communications committee updates the ESC Facebook page and Instagram page regularly. Photos from events hosted are shared, important updates are noted, statements are posted, and relevant opportunities are shared.

The Communications committee reviews the comments received and brings them up at general body meetings as discussion topics. The appropriate action items are taken afterwards.

The Communications committee informs the members of council who have been requested to participate in a chat and provides them with the information necessary to schedule a conversation with the student(s).

Based on the discussions council has, concerns are taken to administration. Surveys are made to obtain feedback from the student body to share with the administration. Any changes made to policies or anything that affects students is shared with students.
